Pyrography seems to lend itself very nicely to floral designs.
Approximately 3.75″ x 3.5″. This is a perfectly flat piece though it appears rather three-dimensional. The black background enhances the shape of the leaves cut out on my scroll saw.
On yellow heartwood: Grain is usually straight, though some pieces may have wavy or interlocked grain. Fine uniform texture and a naturally high luster. color ranges from pale to golden yellow, darkening only slightly with age.
